latest i-pods in the market

The iPod can safely be considered one of the most popular technological breakthroughs of our generation, if not all time. What was released in October 2001 was a personal digital music player unlike any the world had ever seen; many may remember the state of such devices before the advent of the iPod – "big and clunky or small and useless" with user interfaces that were "unbelievably awful," according to Apple executives. The iPod revolutionized these music players into stylish, efficient and user-friendly portable players that took the world by storm.

Now the dust has settled and we find that everyone who can afford an iPod, has an iPod. It brings something universal – music – to the hands of people from all walks of life, of all ages, and now owning one is as common as owning a microwave. If you’re thinking of buying an iPod, or upgrading to a better one, check out the information below to find the latest iPod Nanos, Shuffles, Touches and more released by Apple.

The latest iPod Nano comes in nine vibrant metallic colours and has a range of new features. These include a wider screen with a 2.2-inch colour display, FM radio and more Genius playlist options to make better mixes. Live Pause and iTunes Tagging make the FM Radio more convenient, and a VoiceOver feature allows the listeners to hear the names of the song and artist so they will not constantly have to look at the screen to find the music they want. But it doesn’t stop at the music – the new Nano also has a built-in video camera to record footage wherever you are, and a pedometer helps you stay fit while rocking to your favourite tunes. A built-in microphone also lets you leave voice memos to stay organized throughout the day.

The newest iPod Shuffle is barely the size of a human thumb but packs a punch when you consider its great features. It has a 4GB capacity that lets it store up to 1000 songs (depending on song duration) and also contains VoiceOver qualities that are especially useful given the fact that this small device does not have a screen to display the artist and song information like the other iPod models. This can be activated in up to 20 different languages for your multilingual playlist. The Shuffle comes in a number of spectacular colours, and its controls come with the earphone cord, making it easier to make adjustments to songs and volume.

The iPod touch has also become more exciting, with capacities ranging up to 64GB (can store up to 14,000 songs). The 3rd Generation model has all the features of its predecessor, including the ability to store and use a number of applications from the iTunes store. The new 64GB version has some extra features, including earphones with a remote and microphone to make the user’s experience that much better.

All these products can be purchased from any Apple store on online at the Apple website.
